Upcoming Events:

• TWSC in Partnership with the Barron River Water Ski Club, has committed to hosting a new North Queensland Based Tournament ski Series, the series will consist of 6 Events across the summer Months, it will start On September the 5th & 6th of September at the Barron River Water Ski Club facility on Tinnaroo Dam and will conclude in March next year with a final event in Townsville. The Following Dates and locations are the dates for the remaining events weather permitting; 

• Water Ski Qld Exceutive members are coming to Townsville to coach club members and Comittee members in Tournament skiing management, Driving, and competing, the date is yet to be finalised, They are also here to inspect the TWSC abilities and facilities with a view to hosting the 2011 Nationals Water Ski Championships Tournament accross the easter weekend of that year, we know that they will see the facilities and know that this is the best venue in Qld to host an event of this nature, as we did with the Worlds.

Past Events:

• TWSC recently held a training Clinic at the Loam Island Clubhouse and coaches from Waterski Qld attended, we had Jacinta Clegg to coach in Trick and Slalom and Nick Purcell to train everyone in Slalom, both went away very impressed with the standrd of skiers that the club is producing. Both coaches were also blown away at the facilities taht we are lucky enough to enjoy, majority of the skiers that attended were happy with the sessions and most showed an excellent growth in skills accross the weekend.    

• TWSC hosted the Baron River Water Ski Club at an interclub Tournament, we had in excess of 30 skiers from Across the Northern and Central Queensland Regions attend, with very positive feedback from everyone all comitting to come back again. The skiers that attended were ranging in age from 8 years to our significantly over 35 class skiers, skiers challenged themselves to the Full Course and the Mini Course accross the weekened depending on skill levels, with all skiers having a minimum 4 passes each. 

• Emma Sheers club development day held 14th and 15th March 2009.  A huge weekend with amazing results all skiers should be congratualted on their peformances no one failed to improve their skills. Emma Sheers is simply amasing and we owe her a huge thank you, can't wait to get her back and show her what the club can do.   
   
• Joel Wing Training Day; a master of his craft Joel is amasing to watch and listen to when he is passing on his lessons, don't miss the next time we get Joel on the water, he can assist us in all disiplines.  

• Barron River come and try Tournament - This is a club that will continue to grow and work with the TWSC to enhance the sport in the NQ and FNQ regions. If your heading to Tinaroo please give them a call and say hello, I think they would get the vote for the friendliest club in FNQ, they are an excellent affiliate for our club.

• TWSC regularly host member social days, these are designed to encourage participation from all disiplines of skiing and all levels of ability, the club aims to hold a number of these across the year.
